Batch Fit Time Series Data
Selection of data for a time series batch fitting process is slightly different than the selection of data for a single data set. Identical to a standard batch fitting process, it is necessary to select multiple data sets. However, depending on what is currently selected in the worksheet when the batch fitting is started, @RISK may modify the selection as follows:
- If a single cell is selected, @RISK will select all cells in a contiguous range around the selected cell, including all columns and rows. Unlike a single time series fitting where @RISK will select just the column of values, @RISK may extend the selection to include column headers.
- If a single column or row of values is selected, @RISK will not extend the selection. An error message may be shown when attempting to run the batch fit indicating that an invalid range has been selected.
To ensure that the correct data is included in the batch fitting process, it is highly recommended that the full range of cells is selected before starting the batch fit.
The 'Data Set' panel for the Time Series Batch Fitting window works identical to the single fitting process; see Fit Time Series Data for more information.
Batch Fit Transformations
The transformation section of the Time Series Batch Fitting window is nearly identical in form and function to the single fitting process, with one exception. When running a batch fit, the 'Auto Detect' functionality will not update the configuration of the fitting process before it is run. Instead, this option is a checkbox that can only be activated before starting; before each individual fit is run, @RISK will automatically detect which transformations should be applied to increase the stationarity of the data and will apply those transformations.
For more information on applying transformations manaully, see Fit Data Transformations.
Batch Fit Options
The Options panel provides the same configuration options as the single fitting process; see Fit Data Options for details on these configurations.
Please note that the options selected (e.g. 'Number of Elements' and 'Fit Statistic') cannot be changed or updated after the batch fitting has run. Because the batch fitting process generates report results in a separate worksheet or workbook, the configurations made to the process are static and cannot be toggled or modified for comparison purposes.
Batch Fit Models
Selection of models to be tested during the batch fitting process is identical to the single fitting process; see Fit Time Series Model Selection.
